Janet Sheriff, OBE: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
BA Hons (Geography), PGCE Secondary (Geography), NPQH, National Leader of Education (NLE), Qualified Ofsted Inspector

Janet has been CEO of the Collaborative Learning Trust since it’s formation in 2018. She has a range of senior leadership experience in a variety of schools in different socio-economic contexts. Before taking up headship at Prince Henry's in 2009, she successfully led a school, situated in one of the most socio-economically disadvantaged areas of Leeds, out of the Special Measures category. Janet has knowledge of both primary and secondary phases due to her recent role as an Ofsted Inspector and the cross phase nature of the Trust.
Janet has significant experience of planning and delivering school improvement strategy, working with Trust schools and also schools across the region via DfE funded programmes. She is currently seconded part time to the DfE, working as one of the six DfE RISE Advisers for the Yorkshire and Humber Region to support the Regional Improvement for Standards and Excellence (RISE) programme, aiming to break the link between young people’s backgrounds and their future success.
Janet was awarded an OBE for Services to Education in West Yorkshire, in the Queen’s New Year 2021 Honours List.
