Our CEO Janet Sheriff was named today as one of the Government's RISE Advisers (Regional Improvement for Standards and Excellence). The government’s RISE (Regional Improvement for Standards and Excellence) teams are expanding their reach from an initial 32 schools, to more than 200 reaching over 120,000 children.
All seven of our schools have been celebrating equality and diversity as part of a partnership between the CLT and Leeds Art Gallery.
Pupils at St Mary’s Primary School in Hunslet had a great time when Padraic McDonagh, previously 2 times British Thai Boxing Champion and world Bronze medallist, came into school to speak, launching a new programme at the school called Inspiring Young Lives.
Bramhope Primary School, one of the founding members of the Collaborative Learning Trust, is celebrating Ofsted ‘outstanding’ grades across the board, following their recent inspection. The school achieved the top grade of ‘outstanding’ in all five judgement areas: overall quality of education, early years provision, pupil behaviour, pupils’ personal development, and leadership and management.
Prince Henry’s Grammar School in Otley is outstanding in all areas, following their recent Ofsted visit. The school, which is one of the founding partners of the Collaborative Learning Trust, received five ‘Outstanding’ judgements from Inspectors, including for the Sixth Form provision.
St Mary’s C of E Primary Academy in Hunslet is celebrating after their most recent Ofsted inspection graded them as improved in all areas, with three areas now judged as ‘Good’. The school, which joined the Collaborative Learning Trust in 2020, was one of the first schools in the country to be inspected under the new Ofsted inspection regime introduced this September.
Trustees, Governors and Senior Leaders from across the Trust met in July for our annual Strategy Event.
As school broke up for the summer and families headed off for their summer break, kind-hearted staff at the Collaborative Learning Trust responded to an appeal from their CEO, Janet Sheriff, for donations to a very special cause in Tanzania.
Over 100 students and staff from the schools in the Collaborative Learning Trust came together to celebrate the launch of the Trust’s Equality and Diversity Charter with a rousing concert. As a massed Choir, Collaborative Voices, they ended the concert singing “Together we can change the world” and meant every word.

The school community at Trinity All Saints Church of England Primary School is celebrating after their recent SIAMS inspection found that the school really is a welcoming and supportive community, with inspectors recognising the positive impact of membership of the Collaborative Learning Trust.
On 14th March we held our latest CLT trust twilight ‘Reflecting through a SEND lens’ . The event was a huge success. Staff across all CLT schools shared positive feedback about the impact this important training would have in their classrooms.
